Re: I Bury the Living |
There are several reasons why a movie with a seemingly proper renewal notice could nonetheless be PD, but the fact remains that the movie was pulled for some reason. If you want to know why, click the 'here' link on the page for the pulled movie, and IA may answer the question.

Re: I Bury the Living |
The film was renewed by Tartan Enterprises which was a scam renewals company (I believe "copyright hijackers" is the accepted term.)
The item was made dark over a year ago. There are no notes on the item manager. Notes are normally left if a C&D was issued on the item. Looks like it might have been deleted by the uploader.

Re: I Bury the Living |
So it would have been better if the previous poster had written "It seems to be under copyright" instead of "It's under copyright."
I understand that twainbough pulled some films when he left. Perhaps this was one of them.

Better? No. Legally careful? Yeah. Renewal notices are generally legit. I'm glad that I don't think like a lawyer, and that this isn't a law review.

Re: I Bury the Living |
I've heard some people take their items down when they part company with the site, for whatever reasons they might have. Anything I may have pulled down would have been because I had some doubt about the status of my items. Who can say?

Re: I Bury the Living |
I never actually uploaded anything myself, but you uploaded two shows for me and I'm grateful. I just wish I had more rare stuff to share. Anyway, computers are dying left and right in my house...I'm typing fast before this one goes out as well! lol

Re: I Bury the Living |
I believe I have copy somewhere, but I don't remember whether it's an Alpha edition or one I took from here. Either way, if I can find it, I'll upload it. If I took it from here, though, it may take me a while because I have thousands of home-made dvds to look through. But isn't the copyright info you posted valid? One of the character faults I must admit to is that I get easily confused and I've been told by others that know me that I can be somewhat absent minded.

Re: I Bury the Living |
OK, I'll put it on my to-do list. As it turns out, the copy I have is one of my home-mades, so it's might take me a while to find it. If someone else has a more accessable copy and wants to "beat me to the punch", that's OK with me.
